Firm owner, Virginia A. Frazer-Abel, Esq. and her associate attorney, Eric J. Kelly, Esq., are committed to providing their clients with the highest level of legal representation, and to overseeing their legal needs with honesty and integrity.
Virginia received her law and tax degrees from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, her undergraduate degree from Grinnell College, and became licensed to practice law in 2003. She serves as GAL in both domestic and probate cases, Court Appointed Counsel in probate cases, and as private counsel, and was sworn in as the Public Administrator for the 1st Judicial District in February 2014.
Virginia was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2013, which identifies her as a top-rated attorney as recognized by peers. Virginia is also a member of both the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and of the Trust and Estates and Elder Law Sections of the Colorado Bar Association, where she routinely teaches CLE seminars on Trusts, Probates, and Elder Law.
Eric is originally from the Indianapolis area and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications from Indiana University in 2009. Eric moved to Boulder, Colorado in 2010 to attend law school at the University of Colorado, earning his J.D. in 2013. After law school, Eric worked as an assistant attorney general in the State Services section of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office and later clerked for the Honorable Lily W. Oeffler, the probate judge in Jefferson County.
Eric joined the firm in 2016 and practices in the areas of Trust and Estate Litigation, Settlement Planning, Estate Planning, Guardianships and Conservatorships, Medicaid appeals, Determinations of Heirship for Oil and Mineral Interests and fiduciary representation.
Eric is a member of the Trust and Estate and Elder Law Sections of the Colorado Bar Association, and the Co-Chair of the Medicaid Subcommittee of the Elder Law Section. Also, in 2020 Eric was selected as a Rising Star in the area of Probate Litigation by Colorado Super Lawyers. Eric is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys skiing, backpacking, and woodworking.
Geoffrey Carpenter is originally from Wisconsin and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2014. After serving for two years through AmeriCorps and then working in the public sector, he attended law school at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, earning his J.D. in 2021. After law school, Geoffrey clerked for the Honorable Todd L. Vriesman, the probate judge for the First Judicial District of Colorado.
Geoffrey joined the firm in 2022 and practices in the areas of estate administration, guardianships, conservatorships, and disability planning. Geoffrey also serves as Guardian Ad Litem for Denver County Court. Geoffrey is a member of the Trust and Estate and Elder Law Sections of the Colorado Bar Association.
Kailie Wilson was born and raised in Colorado and earned her bachelor’s degree Magna Cum Laude from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2018 and her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2021. She is a member of the Trusts and Estates and Elder Law Sections of the Colorado Bar Association.
She joined the firm in 2021 as a law clerk and now practices as an attorney in estate administration, guardianship, conservatorship, and estate planning. Kailie also serves as a Court Visitor in Jefferson County and as Guardian Ad Litem in Denver County.
